Admission Requirement
To be eligible for admission to the courses leading to the degree of Master of Arts in the field of Hong Kong Cultural Studies, applicants
(a) shall comply with the General Regulation;
(b) shall comply with the Regulations for Taught Postgraduate Curricula;
(c) shall hold
(i) A good Bachelor’s degree of this University; or a qualification of equivalent standard from this University or another comparable institution accepted for this purpose;
(ii) A good Bachelor’s degree with a major in Hong Kong Studies, Chinese Literature and Culture, or a related subject;
(d) In addition to satisfying the requirements for admission to the curriculum concerned, an applicant who is seeking admission on the basis of a qualification from a university or comparable institution outside Hong Kong of which the language of teaching and/or examination is not English, shall satisfy the University English language requirement applicable to higher degrees as prescribed under General Regulation G2(b).

| IELTS (Academic) | Band 7 with no subtest lower than 5.5 |
Note: Starting from the 2026 intake, IELTS and TOEFL tests must be taken within two years prior to September 1 of each admissions year. IELTS Indicator and TOEFL Special Home Edition are not accepted.
(e) shall have a satisfactory performance if invited to attend an interview as part of the selection process.
